Terms of hire

By hiring a vehicle from Joymoment you agree to our standard terms of hire. Key terms include driver eligibility, payment, fuel policy, and return conditions. Full terms are provided at booking and prior to vehicle collection.

  • Minimum driver age and licence requirements will be specified per vehicle class.
  • Valid photo driver's licence (international licences may require an English translation or IDP).
  • Payment of rental charges and any pre-authorised security hold upon collection.

Insurance, liability & excess

Vehicles include compulsory third party (CTP) as required by Australian states. Optional cover reduces excess and is available at point of hire. Insurance terms differ by state and vehicle category.

  • Standard cover includes third-party liability. Damage to hired vehicle may incur an excess.
  • Optional Damage Waiver (DW) reduces the driver’s financial liability subject to terms and exclusions (e.g. off-road use, unauthorised drivers).
  • Losses resulting from breach of hire terms (e.g. driving under the influence) are not covered.
